Michael Deal ◊ Graphic Design - Absolutely stunning infographic work on The Beatles. I do wish the typography were a little clearer.
Via Jason Kottke, one of the must-read people on the Internet.
Fabulous radio program that evaluates the twenty pieces of music that changed the world—not just the music world, but the world. I listened to the programs about Elvis and Dylan and both were fantastic.
JENNIFER FURCHES “Kentucky” on Vimeo (via Vimeo) - Simple and very beautiful. Listen.
Thanks to Dallas at We Love You So for introducing me to this.
Acid Washed on Vimeo : Thanks to Coudal Partners’ Fresh Signals feed for so much cool stuff.
Leo Kottke - Heard him play at the Variety Playhouse last night with Amaris and our friend, Amira. Amazing guitar player, and heck of a storyteller. Between songs he shared his experiences reading a book about ants, eating at a Thai restaurant, staying with friends in Mojave that kept two frogs in a box, and meeting Chet Atkins and Doc Watson at a photo shoot in Nashville for the cover of an American Airlines in-flight magazine. Quite funny. Quite a guy.
Monsters of Folk concert poster by The Small Stakes : Going to see them at the Tabernacle on Wednesday. Fantastic lineup of very talented musicians. Also: love this poster.
Three Beatles tracks broken down into their amazing component parts. I wish there were more.
